If you want to come to study in Oldenburg as a "free mover" from abroad there is now less need to worry about housing or other organizational things. The Studentenwerk Oldenburg offers a service package for students from abroad which, for the price of 964 €, includes accommodation for six months and different items that should help you get started; furthermore, there is a couselling service available to get you safely across your first weeks and months in Oldenburg.

The service packages are valid for six months, either during the winter or the summer terms. The package for the winter terms is valid from Sept 1st to Feb 28th, and for the summer terms from March 1st to August 31st. If you want to prolong your stay you are welcome to buy another package.

If you are interested in obtaining our service package, please make sure to contact the Student Housing Department as soon as possible. However, the last day for obtaining the package is one month before the validity of the package in question begins. The fee for the service package (€ 964) is to be payed in advance. a furnished room in a hall of residence for six months counselling services (on request) internet facilities in your room for six months (not incl. computer) a rented bicycle for the first month of your stay 5 vouchers for meals at our restaurant on Uhlhornsweg a laundry card for operating the washing machines and/or dryers at the hall of residence a free ticket for a show at the UNIKUM or the Oldenburg University Theatre (OUT)
