In Wilhelmshaven, the Studentenwerk Oldenburg offers housing for students in a hall of residence, situated at a comfortable distance from the University of Applied Sciences. It is a good choice for both shorter and long term accommodation. The hall provides only single rooms, either in double or single apartments with their own kitchen / kitchenette and bathroom.

Even though the rooms are fully furnished, students must bring their own bedding (i.e. pillows, duvets and linen) as well as towels, cutlery and crockery. There are no meals provided in the hall of residence, but students may of course use the restaurant at the University of Applied Sciences.

Depending on size and facilities offered, the rents in the hall of residence range between € 107 and € 184, not including utilities such as heating, electricity and water. The charge for utilities comes to ca. 42 €. Further costs might arise from internet or telephone connections which are provided in all rooms.

Please note: If you plan to study in Wilhelmshaven as a so called free mover, you must make sure to arrange for accommodation before you arrive in Wilhelmshaven, if possible 3 to 6 months prior to the beginning of your stay! Otherwise it may be difficult to get a suitable room in time for the beginning of your studies.
